Project: Gysixxer
I got this scooter for free, on a trade around Aug of 2011. From the get go it had its problems. Dirty carb, bad electrical system. And old parts needing to be upgraded and replaced. This is my second scooter. But its my first custom build.
Once I got it running. I immediately swapped out the intake. Shortly after selling my first scooter, I bought a 155cc top end. (58.5mm) and a10 cam. Put on a New Racing Unlimited CDI and Orange High Performance Coil.
Around Christmas time I purchased a LOT of parts from a guy on another forum....turned out some parts were bad....kinda got taken for a ride...so I ended up with a NCY teflon variator w/ NCY driveface. 1500 contra spring, a full exhaust, NCY intake pipe and 2 filters and a mix of rollers and sliders. Also purchased some MRP main springs, hoca performance rear brake pads, oil blow by can and a 30mm keihin CVK carb.
After all these parts I'm topping out @ 63mph.
I also had a friend of mine do a custom stretch, and slammed the front. Ceramic coated the cvt cover, kick start and exhaust. PW:jdm drag handle bar conversion, GPS clamp mount and bar end mirrors.
I have a few more mods that still need to be completed. And project gysixxer is going to be done!!!

Today I got some parts in, 3sets of rollers... 9g, 10g, & 11g rollers. I swapped out my mix of 10g & 14g sliders for all 9g rollers. I noticed a quicker take off. And I can hear the motor Revs higher, and I still got up to 63mph in a tuck. Now I dont know if it has more, only because I had cars around me and couldn't switch lanes to see if it would do more!!!! I'll try it out tomorrow!!! But I like the 9g weights. Next mod is going to be swapping out springs in the clutch and possibly clutch be and new clutch!!!!
Stay Tuned.....

Added 2 Bright White, LED strips under the center of the scooter and 2 Mini strips (cut off of the set) on the sides under some of the fairings.....SICKENING!!!!!!
But shortly after i installed them, i took her out for a ride to show them off. SHE DIED!!!!! Now i gotta figure out what the problem is quick to get her ready for bike week....

Since the scooter is down, I have decided to modify my harness and I have someone helping me accomplish this. Basically since half of my components are under the seat and under the front fairing. I am going to move everything to one centralized location. Under my floor board. Where all I have to do is flip up my floor mat and everything is there for me to get to...also looking under the seat will be more cleaner looking. I am also removing all the instrument cluster wires, turn signals, horn, indicator lights and basically anything else I don't want. All I want to have is headlights and brake lights!
I'll keep u posted!!!!

Well, since my little fiasco with all the damn problems i had on my scooter last sunday...I went out for a ride and my belt snapped and shreaded....(I had to push it from Saxon blvd & Normandy all the way to Providence Blvd....Not fun), I have a belt on order and will have it in Monday....Hopefully this is the end of all my problems...And i should be able to ride after this...
That took all of 5min to clear up and make sure all of the pieces where not still wedged in the clutch.....Also finally figured out today as to what the "chrome oil catch can is for". Its really not a catch can, and doesnt help with back preassure. Its actually part of a system (that im missing part of) for relieving crankcase gases via the oil dipstick. Recomended on scooters with Big Bore Kits. The oil will flow up into it at high speeds relieving the gases from the case, and will let the oil back into the case @ low speeds. Kind of like a BOV for a turbo charged car. That way the gases are not forced to find other "soft" spots in the case to leak...IE Gaskets and such...So i am going to buy the kit which ranges from $12.00 - $25.00 gir-r-done right!

Great build up and thread. The stance looks great! Love the color and the removal of the top plastic. I hope to see more of these customs on this forum.
